Let me clear up a few things for you really quick.

1. Our most popular realm's are the WotLK Realms so they require more work than the Cataclysm realms.

2. Damnation is the brainchild of FORMER (and i make this obvious) Remorse Admin Daniel who is no longer with us.

3. So with the previous fact you ask...well what does DjScias do all day long? Well he works on Ruin which is his brainchild and main realm.

Damnation started to die out when everyone instantly started bug abusing the first few days the server was up, We the helper team worked our asses to the bone to try and get a lot of the issue's with damnation fixed but the more we fixed the more problems came up. Damnation is just not going to be able to get a lot of attention until someone decides to take over Dev work for it because now Daniel is not here to do it.

Btw on a side note, Molten's new cata realm failed hard...so much for their "hard work" they fell flat on their face with that one.

It's not that we dont want to put a new dev on it, we dont have enough devs that are active to work on it the way it needs to be worked on.

I don't think molten's server fell hard considering they have 9000 people online right now on their cata servers and another 2000 people in queue to get on the server.

Ok.. so you don't have enough Devs? I can't see how the server runs without Devs.. couldn't you just make it so there are less Devs on the Wotlk realms and a few more on the new cata realms, maybye just 1 or 2 to help cata realm/s? It really looks like more people want to play cata then wotlk so i don't see why you don't focus at least a little more on them.

Being a developer is not something you just learn like a trade skill. It takes a canny knack and knowledge which is by far rare to come by. Certain people are more familiar with wrath content then cata. The same thing occurred from TBC to Wrath.

How is a developer not something you learn like a trade skill? isn't a dev the same as a programmer essentially? I don't think you can just have a "knack" to be a dev without having the knowledge of certain skills, primarily being the programming skills.

I am pretty sure you would have to learn to become a Dev... and if any1 tries hard enough they can become a Dev. But what i want to know is why there is more on wotlk then cata? Couldn't just 1 switch over? i think it would help the server quite a bit don't you?

Cata has a more difficult coding.

1. Cata is more difficult than WOTLK
2. If Cata was more "popular", as you say, wouldn't there be more of a population?
3. You have to remember, most of the players on private servers left Retail to get AWAY from Cata, and go back to WOTLK, TBC or in some cases even Vanilla.
4. Being a Dev is a lot more complicated than you know, so no, dragging 1 dev away from realms that have a max of 3 MAYBE 4 on them (I mean between the 4 realms there MIGHT be 3 or 4 to work on the WOTLK realms), would then ruin the MAIN population of Eternal-WoW.
5. No one ever said NO ONE would ever work on Cata again, it is just harder to work on and takes a lot longer to work on. Be patient, stop being pushy, and be glad you play WoW for free.
If you don't like how it is here, go play retail. This is a private server, we don't have the same resources, staff, amount of staff, amount of devs, nothing is like Retail here so I apologize if playing for free isn't good enough. We do the best we can, and the staff all put in a lot of hard work. A little appreciation would be greatly appreciated, and I speak on behalf of all the staff.

I would prefer playing a private server instead of retail since i do not enjoy farming.. i understand that there are not many staff members but it would be nice to have some more work done on the cata realms.. if the cata realm didn't improve i might as well find a real cata server that might work well (or better at least). But i enjoy it here and i would like it to be even better.

Goodluck finding a good private server Cata realms. We have people coming from all over that say ours are the best. I'm not saying they are, but we do have high quality realms of both WOTLK and Cata. And it will improve, but it won't happen over night, and that is something you should realize. Patience is key.

Just having the title 'developer' doesn't mean you're any good at it. It's not just using a program, changing one number and bam, a fixed spell. It can take days to find the issue with a certain bug, you have to go through each option to find the right one. As said previously, we're extremely low on developers at the moment, so it's hard just to get one or two devs to swap from WOTLK to Cata, we simply don't have the numbers. As a cure for boredom, how about you guys all team up and do you own duels? Events can be run by GMs too. Trust me, it's not that we're ignoring you, we're trying to find good developers who can help with the low population problem on Damnation.
