I am interested to find out which spec you all find better in arenas and for what reasons. Is ele bursty damage with say a destro lock in spell cleave more successful and fun to play then say resto shaman/ Shadow priest? or perhaps a ele shaman rogue team or a resto hutner team? Well I guess waht I'm getting at is...What in ya'lls opinion is better? Ele or resto in 2v2?

I like playing resto as shammy, i have played on each spec. You really have to test on your self what suits most. Try each spec.

ele shamy/mm or surv hunt is one of the best combos iv seen so far. Just learn how to cc and kite. If ur playing with a warr or rogue as a partner go resto.

resto-sp isn't rly a strong comp but ppl here mostly suck so u can do well. resto-rogue is pretty good but requires alot of coordination.

I've also played all three specs of Shaman. Just try each of them in both BG's and Arena. Imo I prefer Enhance + HPala or Enhance + Hunter myself, but because you asked Ele or Resto, I would say it depends on what ur best in. Ele is great with a Destro Warlock or Rogue, where u just nuke and CC the opponents down, or die urself. And as a Resto, like almost any Dps + Heal combo, it will be a longer match in which you can go with any kind of dps. I've seen some great Resto Sham + Rogue teams, which gave us a hard time, and Resto Sham + Hunter is also hard to beat. (PS: Wouldn't recommend in going Resto Sham + Warrior. It can work, but most of the time it's a failcombo for both the Resto Sham and the Warrior compaired to other classes they can play with.)

If you just started Shaman in general, I would suggest starting with Elemental, because it got both a great Nukage part in it, but also a heal part when u play double DPS (like almost all teams with an Ele Sham). For the higher ratings though, I would suggest going either Enh or Resto. I've played in the 2,1k ratings (I know, not real great, but also not bad ), last season as Enh sham with my HPala teammate. I also tried Ele Sham with the same HPala teammate, but that was a big fail that didn't get us much lower than 1,7k .

I play arms war and from my personal experience you're better off with the burst from an elem shaman (correct me if i'm wrong, maybe I haven't done 2's with any good resto shamans, but decent elemental shamans)

Then I haven't had the pleasure of playing with shamans who were as good at resto as they are with elemental :/

I'm squishy but do a lot of damage- real glass cannon kinda deal, 995 resil 964 arp so it just felt like resto shamans couldn't keep me up long enough, but with the elemental shaman the burst we pulled off was enough to "get them before they get us"

Ye just trash, but hpal/war is still faceroll, so u dont have to play with a good one. Hpal has low skillcap aswell.
