So I wanted to have a polite and educated discussion on what you people think is the most OP class in this patch for all types of pvp.

THIS THREAD IS MEANT FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSE ONLY
to keep it clean you MUST obey the following rules:
.no flaming
.no trolling
.no player names (this is about classes, not about players)
.any other rule that applys to eternal wows forum rules.

KEEP IN MIND WHAT OVERPOWERED MEANS! ("a below average player having great sucess with...")
which means no saying "you cant kill a skilled <X class>." this isnt about the skill cap of a class its about how a bad player can have good results with said class.
high skill cap =/= overpowered

DONT BE BIASSED! for eg: a paladin saying mages are OP.

Warriors by far. The damage of arms in s8 is absurd and its the only class i can run at 4 people at with and kill them all in seconds with sweeping + Storm unless there is a disarmer. Even garbage warriors become wrecking machines with a dispeller, but good warriors annihilate everything even without heals/dispels. Also its the 1 class that just beats every other class in 1v1 enviroment. Every other class and every other spec if played well.

These are the reasons i grew bored of warriors and rarely ever touch it anymore. I loved playing a warrior throghout s5 -> 7 but in s8 they really are the most overpowered thing there is. Its just the stereotype from s5 that warrs take a huge amount of skill to play, which isnt the case anymore as they are more faceroll than retadins or hero knights by far. Best damage, best mobility, best heals and best defences out of melee classes.

In my opinion Shadow Priest is one of the best class in this patch because you just have to put 2 dots up, which make a lot of damage and dispersion with his low cooldown is also effective against stuns or bladestorm or any burst. Another point is that SP has also a 20% and have that much of CC with small cooldown that you even can waste one to win in a 1v1/2v2.
Finally they have all what you need to have success (Hard Instant Dots, Heal, CC with low cooldown, "Small" MS)

People who play classes that aren't OP don't worry about that if you got good gear you will probably beat anyone,and don't worry about having skill with your class; that was removed after TBC...

Is pretty hard to say but, I don't know if it is just me or my account is definetly bugged but, saying X class is OP cus of the easy mode it is... In-game actually it isn't... Let me explain... Roare said warriors are the most OP class in this patch, well, in-game it really isn't, I repeat, is easy to say, but in reality is not...

Gladi2007 said shadow priests are OP, easy to play with, has all important things to dmg and defend yourself, but it really isn't, personally, I cannot kill anything with my priest, I can even give you my account so you can test it, you'll see you will not kill ANYTHING with my priest...

So this kind of topics are really stupid, because in theory, a lot of people think different classes are OP and easy to play, but in fact, in-game they aren't... This is my opinion.

Season 8 was the season of elemental shamans, nothing else.
Warriors are just op cuz of SM. (on eternal)

If I had to choose, they would be Warrior, Lock, and Spriest. If you're paying attention, you can sometimes get the jump on locks and the occasional spriest, but pros will quickly burn you down. Against an experienced, well geared warrior, you're pretty much fish food. It's not impossible though, just really difficult. If they took charge in combat away from warriors, they would be easy kiting rocks. My 2 cents.

What should the dispeller dispell?
U cant dispell crippling poison: 1st: reason ure going oom. 2nd reason: the warrior will die from the rogues dmg if the rogue is smart enough to put up pressure against the dispells. 3rd reason: too much deadly poison stack´s.
Just hof will help but this shit doesnt last enough.

A bad player can have good succes with a DK. Get diseases up and spam Death Strike almost always works.

Hpally by far.

I had never played Hpally before this server, and within 2 weeks I got to 2.2k rating in fur/rele. (I did have a smoure war as my partner, so that kind of helps I guess )

although personally I can't agree.
sure, no doubt, in s8 a warrior is a retarded damage dealing machine, along with very VERY decent survivability.
hardly anything can keep up with a s8 geared warrior who knows what he is doing in 1v1 (or even 2v1 lol)

however, during my time here I noticed that most "bad" warriors cry alot about casters.
and by most I mean every single warrior that isnt in s8 complains about casters.
so just this fact alone makes me not put them in the OP file (at least not untill s8)

give that player a spriest or an UH DK and he will probably still do well. dispte being redundantly bad.
this is because with UH DK and spriest you get a very high sustainable damage to survivability ratio. which means that if a player screws up he is still able to survive his mistakes.
so these classes are very "mistake friendly" since they have way too many survivability tools for the amount of damage they can put out.
if you give him any other class that doesnt have that high sustainable damage to survivability ratio, he probably wont have as much success as with spriest or UH DK, at least untill he learns more about pvp and gears up.

This, is the most retarded thing ive ever heard. A bad player is a bad player is a bad player. How hard a bad player gets owned is your measurement of which class is the strongest? Im not saying either of those classes is or isnt strong but to use that as your basis for choice is.... is.... lolololololol. The only thing a player can kill is noobs so because a class can get a killshot in a bg in furious by spamming instant spells means its OP? HAHAHHA oh god thats funny.

Okay i'll stop laughing and ask you a serious question. Did you even read the subject of the thread? Its not asking what class is the easiest to play badly like a noob its asking whats most OP.

Though I agree with Season 8 being the season I've enjoyed the most on a shaman, I care to disagree on them being overpowered. Having a high burst means little to nothing when your survivability and CC is crap compared to others.
Your class on the other hand, can cast 3 dots and deal 30k dmg in a few seconds. Cast a 90% dmg reduction on a 1min CD(?). Cast a 10 sec CD shield that absorbs way too much. Not to mention a 20 sec CD aoe fear that lasts 2-3 sec too long, just saying.
What does my shaman have? A root, some damage and a frog. Tehee

s8 is a caster season just look at dlocks,eleshams and to a lesser extent shadow priests as well.
so my vote is for wizards.
