Just extract and then run the installer and tell it you need WOTLK

after that is all done you can get all the patches you need from here

never try to use the installer because it doesn't do the patches from 3.0.1 up one at a time anymore
it jumps you right to 4.0.1

anyway I hope this helps with the problem people have been having with the torrent

I forgot to mention you DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD WOW THEN TBC THEN WOTLK like someone tried to say in another post

you just tell it you want wotlk and it will DL everything

Something fishy here. Download of this installer went ok, started up ok, then crashed while is was 'detecting download size' or somesuch. Is it possible that this is only WotLC and not the full client up to 3.0.1 as was previously mentioned?

Fortunately I have my original WoW disks, and TBC. Coming up with WotLK may prove problematical...

EDIT:
Installed WoW from disk (patch 1.2.3, ack!), decided not to install TBC but jump straight to the WotLK installer from this thread. It appears to be functioning now, which leads me to believe that the installer is, indeed, just the WotLK update. I'll keep y'all posted.

You need to use your username and password, NOT your e-mail adress.

If you are certain that when you were downloading the 3.1 version, you put that you need the WTLK expansion as well so... you should have installed the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and having your wow at 3.1, but If you didn´t. You could have the version 3.1 but only have the previous expansion "the Burning crusade " installed.

Check if, in effect, you have the Wrath of the Lich King expansion installed, if you have it so... go ahead and download the next patches from wow wiwiki webpage.

Note: Choose the correct operating system and the language of your wow installed.

it says insert disc that is labled WOTLK? any tips or can i just like Exit out of it or something and i t will keep downloading.. really confused i got led here by another post and when i download it it gets to maybe 10% then says insert disc?
