Lately I have been seeing quite a few complaints about connectivity problems. Typically I would write it off as an ISP issue, but too many complaints are coming in.

Thinking about it and doing some digging revealed we suffered from an odd, but rare DNS problem. While our name servers for the website and game server were online, the domain that had the records for the nameservers was not. Most systems will look to the "root" nameservers for the IP address of a nameserver listed in the whois records for a domain. In this case, some ISP DNS servers were not.

Since the maintenance was completed on the nameserver's record holder, I think the issue is resolved, however there are too many points of failure currently and I am going to try and increase the robustness of the DNS records.

TL;DR: Had an odd DNS problem, it's resolved now, and I'm going to try and mitigate it in the future.

Assuming this is the issue I ran across (Account closed? thread in general) it's most certainly not resolved. I was playing on my laptop about half hour ago and I get kicked, I try to log back in and get 2 "login server down" messages and subsequently "Account closed" again.

Zedith: I'm going to assume the main problem has been fixed, but according to the quote above, there are still problems. I can't connect properly, either, and I'm sure everyone is just as frustrated as this by you. Consider it a test of patience; they're working to fix it.

I'm being patient I think, considering it says I'm banned from vent (definitely not a connectivity issue) and can't load the website without a proxy.

I have it from time to time to be unable to connect nor to the website or the server.But thats not the main issue for me.The problem is that i`ve been expiriencing MAJOR lag.Couple of more players have been reporting on the world chat about the same problem.Any info on that?

I cannot connect to the actual servers my imgame realmlist says Dev realm, avv, x30, and 255... and all of them are locked, is that the issue you mean?

Okay well I used to play this server, and now when I try to log back in The server or realm list pops up and the list of the realms shows up but the status on all of them is "locked" so when I try to connect to any of them it automatically Disconnects me from the server, what can I do to fix this?

The lag issue is being worked on and the reason for server downtime last night is we think we might have pin pointed the problem to the lag.

We hope that it is better now.

im having Login Server Down again. Also with the website sometimes cannot find page. I need to reload it a couple of time. Its annoying when voting. Just to let you know GM.

I'm getting the same deal too: At first it was stuck at "Connecting", then I would get an "Unable to connect" error message. Once it got as far as "Authenticating", and just now I got a "Login Server Down" message...
