Update: Account info and Item Store are active again!

It is my unfortunate responsibility to tell you, the players, the events of the last few days. We were the innocent victims of a huge Denial of Service (DDOS) attack. The team and I were working around the clock to restore services, but the attack followed and finally made that impossible. This attack was on a scale that no hardware device can protect, and overwhelmed our entire datacenter network by flooding with so much traffic that legitimate users could do nothing. Our datacenter already had some DDOS hardware protection in place, but it doesn't help when your whole network is flooded by an attack of this size.

I've now purchased a DDOS protection service, which is very expensive, but will handle any amount of attacks sent at us. It should be in place very soon. The website connection to user accounts database will be later today as we can.

While their website was down due to the attack they do have a page on Facebook. They were doing pretty well with keeping players informed. Simply find "Eternal-Wow" on facebook and "Like" their page.

I checked it multiple times. They said an attack was taking place.thats it.
Then they said servers are back up, and it took another 24 hours
untill they were actually back up. I don't call that good informing :p

Well fellas I'm still Unemployed lol.....hard times in this camp these days...but soon as I get my taxes back I'm pretty sure it'll be a nice chunk of change I'll see what I can spare for the aid the cause of Eternal-Wow.

If you're seeking an increase in donations and voting for a time, perhaps putting in a small bonus or limited time offering reward for both would garner better results.
For a Vote reward, for a week replace Emblems of Triumph with Emblems of Frost, or make a discount code for a 25-50% discount that is good for a week.
For a VIP reward, for a week's time, reward every $20 donated with a bonus $5 credit, or add/create a limited time offered reward available, something like further customized shirt/tabard/bag with even more enhanced properties or heirloom varieties of said items.
Obviously, these "bonus" ideas were just quick thrown out there but something along those lines would surely further motivate all of us whom love this server to go above and beyond in our showing of support.
