Eternal Realm - How to buy Badges of Eternal Conquest

#1 by GregariousJB » Sun Dec 18, 2011 7:16 pm

There seems to be some confusion over how players are able to obtain Badges of Eternal Conquest on the Eternal Realm. Here are the different ways you can obtain them. All of these are available at Halaa via vendors or other NPCs:

  • 1 Badge for 68,200 Honor Points
  • 1 Badge for 62,000 Honor Points and 1650+ Arena Rating
  • 1 Badge for 100 Arena Points
  • 2 Badges for 100 Halaa Battle Tokens (via Elder Robinhoof's "Halaa Back at Me" daily quest)
  • 3 Badges for 31,000 Honor Points and 1800+ Arena Rating (Bag of 3 Badges)
  • 5 Badges for 47,400 Honor Points and 2000+ Arena Rating (Bag of 5 Badges)

As you can see, players with higher Arena Ratings are able to obtain the badges much faster, so there is still a strong drive for doing Arenas. Also note that the amount of Badges needed to buy Wrathful Gladiator gear and other items is subject to change as we find a happy medium.

Okay I have a few questions, one being you guys said that you wanted to make it more fair, the gear gap, between arena players and non-arena players or people who do battlegrounds. I am totally good with that and I think it is an awesome idea. But then poses the problem it costs 68,200 per badge for someone who doesn't do arenas. That in itself makes an offset cost 1,702,000 honor points...Then the honor rate is lowered so I can't really see how someone is going to get geared up whilst not doing arenas. Just seems a little bit of an exponential increase.

The halaa idea is awesome but when it is taking 20minutes to farm 5k honor in a bg, given my side wins. That is an insane amount of time required to get ONE item. This really needs to be looked at and I believe that almost every player here will agree with me.

Just a little note towards the admins/devs:
Before the update FULL wrathful offset (including double rings and trinket) used to cost about 550k honor
Thats 10 badges for the entier offset. Think about that.

Prices are insane now.

Now what real confusion seems to be, which admins don't understand is that we see currency for items and Wratfull and Tier10 vendors is Badge of Justice. Badge of Conquest is nowhere to be found, only appearance is those 2 vendors that sell them. And quest itself rewards Badge of Justice. Now can you elaborate that please which is which and which is maybe "bugged"?

Wrathful Neck if you're at 1400 rating before update.... 68200 honor
Wrathful Neck if you're at 1400 rating after update .... 3 410 000 honor.

Wrathful Neck if you're at 2400 rating before update ... 68200 honor.
Wrathful Neck if you're at 2400 rating after update ... 474 000 honor. (about 7 times more then before).
(not to mention honor gain is terrible now)
Ive done 20 bg's writing down the amount of honor I now receive every game (win and lose)
note I almost always come out first in honor*
my average for won games is 7256 honor
my average for lost games is 3220 honor
I timed about 10 bgs.. to about 15 minutes each. + 2-3 min Queue time,
I won 12 out of 20 bgs.(PS: Im alliance horde have it worst.)
total honor gained : 112 832
estimated time farming.... a bit over 6 hours of non-stop qing and pvping.(Do the math)
Now even if I can reach 2k fairly easy, My progress on getting my wrathful neck would be at 23.8%/100%
after 6 hours.(On retail it takes about 4-5 hours to farm enough honor for a pvp Neck)

And here are some really funny numbers. If I was bad and couldn't reach over 1650 rating.
it would take me 195.3055 HOURS of NON-STOP pvp to get ONE watchful off piece.
That means if you have no life and pvp about 8 hours a day..... it would take you
something like 24 DAYS to get 1 off piece! 1!

That seems very fair.

P.S And if you don't believe my math id be very happy to replay with all the calculations I did.

Ok, a lot of good math going on..

Just one issue... your looking at one way to get tokens... and if you only get them one way no crap it will take a long time.... But you can get gear.

With Arena Rating, using arena points, honor and doing the daily quest in Hala how long does it take?

The time frame to get gear should be based on doing everything you can to get gear, not selectively picking one thing and crying foul.

With Arena rating, arena points and doing the daily quest, how long does it take? We know and it is a bit more of a reasonable time than what people realize.

Also keep in mind as we add new dailies it will be quicker, and with events it will be quicker...

But you made some good points. Wrathful Gladiator offsets have been added to the mall vendors starting at 1300-1400 Arena Rating & 68,200 Honor Points.

But Matt, we are talking about people that doesn't play arena (like me)... For those guys, it will take a LOOONG time to get their WF off-set. Because they can only buy badges with honor, and if they won 4 RBG's in a row, that's one badge too (4 RBG's won is 100 arena points, 100 ap = 1 badge)...

And a little suggestion: the Halaa daily quest, you get the token if you have the killing blow, I believe the token should be able to get with honorable kills, not with the killing blow, since 1941841283489185 players attack one lonely enemy, it's hard to get the KB... Also 100 is a lot I think, 50 will be enough :)

Regards.

Correct me if I am wrong but these are my calculations considering that I get ~10k honor a game:
WF Mainset piece = 100 marks
If you have 2k rating 47.5k=5 marks
so 47.5k x 20 = 950,000 honor for a wf piece witch ends up being roughly 950 bg WINS to get a single piece.
Seems kind of ridiculous if you ask me.
If you do add more dailies, good then it will go faster but right now prices for marks are ridiculous even at 2k rating.
:?

Also thought that I'd note that I'm not getting halaa marks for getting killing blows,
Thanks

I don't want playing arena here, because the good staff delete teams without reason.
No one can know someone wintrading or not.

New dailies = still no new dailies.
