I said this once, and I will say it again: Before this lag issue appeared months ago, WoW ran PERFECTLY on my computer, just as it is now. If my hardware could handle it just fine before, why would it NOT handle it now? Hmmm? My internet is solid, and as far as my machine goes, this is a specifically made GAMING laptop that was advertised with WOTLK, so I THINK it's more than capable of handling the game. What do you say to that?

PS: I recently downloaded the ready-made WoW client from THIS website...

If you knew computers, you would know the FPS (Frames Per Second, aka the number of frames YOUR computer displays per second that YOUR computer is operating) would be affected by YOUR computer, not the server. There is likely something wrong with your graphics card or RAM, causing your display to slow down.

Its your problem, not the staffs.

After I was (impressively) fed my own words, I went hunting for a program to help with the problem of overclocking on my machine. I went with CrystalCPUID (I tried RightMark but it refused to run for some reason). I took things down a few notches on here but I can't say for certain yet if it's working. I also downloaded a couple of lovely programs to monitor how overheated my computer was getting (and I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the numbers the first time around). Gonna go fire up WoW now and see if this has all done me any good.

Beforehand I did give my computer a rest for a few hours (and propped the arse-end up with some notebooks so there was actually some airflow to the vents) and things ran smoothly for a while before things started heating up again. That was when I went on the expedition for all those programs. Thank God for Google is all I can say! Wish me luck and let's all hope this wild Google chase of mine wasn't in vain...

When will THIS issue be addressed?

herpaderp.. i built my pc's hardware on my own i never have fps prblems even on events.. so ur system got a problem.. how about quitting graphics card intensive stuff while playing wow or just stop watching porn on the secondary screen? ;D

All I'm going to say is:

There's no such thing as a GAMING laptop. They can advertise beefed up laptops with superior hardware, but the cost and the longevity of such a product is not worth it in the long run. These systems overheat faster than the average OEM laptop. Especially Alienwares (which, if you didn't know, is owned by Dell and Dell doesn't exactly have the best reputation among computer enthusiasts.)

If you're going to game on a laptop, you need to invest in cooling solutions. Otherwise you will keep running into these problems. If you were experiencing performance issues from overheating, there is a slight chance your hardware could be damaged.

Thanks Guys! Was there enough funds from donations to cover the server? Please let me know because I am debating on buying my offset so if you were short and took it out of your own pockets let me know I will do some shopping!

Thanks again guys!

Well excuse the fuck out of me for not knowing everything in the fucking universe about computers! FYI: This was all I could afford at the time, I'm not the sort of person that has the money to throw away on a new machine every six or seven months like some people.

As for you blackanthrax, get your fucking mind out of the gutter. As a FEMALE gamer, I hardly find that little "joke" of yours worthy of note, let alone funny.

I didn't realize that I was not allowed to look for support or a "good luck" from the people here. FORGIVE ME if I don't know everything that you apparently know. This was my first laptop and it's gonna be my only laptop until I get the money (someday in the very distant future) to perhaps build a custom one. So kiss MY ass if I don't live up to YOUR expectations :violin:

Thanks for the updates once again! Thought Remorse was going laggy again.
But then I saw this topic! Thank God that you guys can fix the issue.

Good job! Can't wait for the new hardware to be installed

The Redemption issue only happened a few days ago when we had to move Remorse temporarily to the same Redemption server box. That will be resolved at the same time as the issues in this post.

Someone else already pointed out that FPS has nothing to do with the server. It's completely client-side. If your FPS changed for you, you should take a look at what else may have changed on your computer that could contribute to that.

On this note, I've heard some people have great luck with Game Booster, but try at your own risk.

If you're having sudden fps issues you might want to check your running processes, especially if you've recently installed an application. If you aren't getting weird system lockups... I recommend scanning for viruses :)

Hi all, well i have a sugestion, well could be cool that if we will get a new server, take it for TBC well because in TBC the raid was relly dificult and if you was good then you had a good gear and if you was a nood then even can`t do raids, it is true that the raids in TBC are almoust tree times hardest than the raid WotLK, well is just a suggestion, and could be cool that, for all that feel that are pro because have finish all ICC then lets see if they can even whit kara or SSC, thanks for read =)
