It gives us the ability to use fractional values. Like having an item at 3550, would represent a donation amount of 35.50. And for some other upcoming changes to the vote system.

What once was $1 = 1 VIP is now $1 = 100 VIP points. The points you've already paid for have been increased times 100 to reflect this, and store costs have been increased the same

Yes you did, but since the item cost increased by the same amount you spent them all.

People should be wary of the free VIP point offers, since it can open them up to untold amounts of Spam mail, bugs/viruses and even possibly identity theft, since all of these offers require incredible amounts of personal information.
