We are coming up on purging old accounts in a few days.

This means the following:

If you have an account, that has NOT been used THIS YEAR (2010), your characters and gear will be DELETED.

Donors: Your accounts will NOT be touched.

I can guarantee that if you logged into your account in the year 2010 it will not have been deleted, being unable to log in is because of another problem

Sounds more like a miss typed account name... maybe a ban.. I wouldn't know I've never experienced a ban.

Given the butt-load of accounts coming from your IP address, you probably got caught in an IP ban. I'll look into it.

naah im pretty sure its not a ban once i got 3 day ban from retail and it said i was banned when i tried to logging.
and i have been trying to relog many times even restarted the computer but still same ressault

Within the next 72 hours. Not sure but no sooner than 24 hours.

Account purge looks like it will be pretty quick. I have re-written a cleanup script that takes a tiny fraction the same amount of time that our last one did.

You only need to read Hex's original post to know you're ok. We have only purged accounts twice in our whole history. Each time it is accounts that are way old and no longer in use. This time, it's all accounts where the user is NOT a donor and has NOT logged in since 2009. Therefore, logging in once every week or two definitely does not even come obscenely close to getting deleted.

I could bring it up now, but it probably wont work because I have a few locks in progress on tables. I'm waiting for 2 SQL tables to finish being cleaned.
