I've had several high level staff consider quitting lately due to receiving repeated abuse and disrespect from players. This is not going to happen. Remember the staff are people too, and work voluntarily to help the community. They provide their time to help players, but don't need abuse!

This problem is from a minority of players, and does not reflect the norm, but be advised that we will be cracking down on this, ranging from mutes to bans depending on severity and frequency of offense. I will not lose staff over this - it's silly and shouldn't be happening.

couldnt agree more on this ,as a player that has played on eternal since almost begining ,i have slowly watched Redemption ,Ruin ,world chat become filled with Nothing but people with high opinions of themselves & think they are the voice of the server seems to be the same few that fill the world chats & LFG channels ,with unfunny ,direspectfull & threatening chat to fellow players & GM etc .... my daughter played on here untill recently where i have stopped letting her play due to the small minority !!. it wasnt always the case here & was one of the reasons why i have stuck around , due to the pleasent ,helpfull , yes even witty & funny chat that Eternal wow used to be !!! Couldnt agree more clear out the trash & make the place & nicer community again !!

Very annoying that form of spam , maybe a scripted ban mechanism? and for me make it at first offend 1 day , second 1 week , 3 2weeks etc.

The word volunteer cathed my eye. They are taking their time to make the server greater. If people like this abuse them, that is a serious insult and should be taken care of.

Why would someone leave when they get a lot of insults? Staff have power, do something with that power. When you are leaving, you show that you are weak. I would suggest getting bigger punishment for their actions. Giving them a higher mute time or even ban people who are abusing staff or abusing other people.

The amount of crap iv seen in the past week for someone making an event.

"OMG 3 shards for killing a GM"
"Spawn a second box i couldnt get the quest from the first one"
"GM sucks at making events all they ever do is lag the server"

I cant even get to the event due to the lack of power in my laptop, i lag way to hard to join in, and deffinetly have no chance of getting a shard at all, if i was able to actually play at the events id be greatful for what they give us.

Nobody has left the staff.

The blatant abuse to staff has become a major issue with the start of the summer, and it is starting to effect the staff moral and has some people wondering why they volunteer so much time if nobody appreciates it.


Cypher was very correct that it is a small portion of the population, however that small portion is the most vocal (tickets and posts and comments).


The staff go out of their way to not ban people, give people extra chances, try to just let things slide. This has backfired, and since as I am told every day "You are not the owner so suck my ...." I thought a nice post from Cypher was called for so the community see's that the upcoming changes to how things are handled are coming from the "owner".

Enough of the 50 chances, enough of the creating 10 accounts to harass my staff, if you want to play the troll and bash game, you will need to find another server... That is the message that is being sent.

I don't understand why people would abuse the staff here. I've been playing here for about a year and a half and I have had nothing but the best help and respectful people. I think people forget that its a free to play private server and should be lucky to have a place like this were there not paying $15 a month like the 12million others. They should just Shut Up and appreciate something as Awesome as Free WoW.I love every minute of it here. I mean ya, i run into quests that don't work right or items that are bugged or glitches here or there but its the fact that its FREE and that I'm not forced into paying to play and so I don't complain about anything. If you want a better experience with playing WoW, there's only one better place to go besides here and they charge.

I dont really know about the other realms, but sometimes on eternal its really hardcore, there was this guy yesterday who was muted because of spamming, it was a 20 minutes mute, and then he kept logging into his other accounts and kept saying bad shit bout the server etc, he had like 6 alt accounts, I was like holy shit..

False, Eternal has no perfect staff. I needed to report a GM, because of power abuse and atleast he got banned. (Just remembering Kayteexx)
Eternal staff didnt noticed that fail without help from normal players.
Go ahead and check your staff randomly to avoid power abuse and let ppl make tickets about it.
Last time it helped me alot and you, Eternal-Lead, are also interested for good-working staff.

No, not all staff are perfect either. But the way to address - like you said - is by the report a GM feature on the site, not by in game harassment, which only will result in harm to yourself.

I haven't been here that long yet, but it doesn't take long to see just how many children play here. I have played on a few servers, plus retail, and have never seen the amount of inconsiderate, immature chat than on Redemption. 15 minute mute? Nonsense! It's a joke to the kids. Almost every day, I see GMs tested after he mutes someone. I'd make it 5 hours min, 24 hours preferably. Staff abuse, 6 month ban or an immediate ban. I could go on, but you see my point of view on this.

I also happen to enjoy it here, more than anywhere else I've tried. I came from that "M" place. More people, but also more things that do not work there, mainly quests and up to triple the amounts of mobs in some areas which are not corrected when reported. I am impressed with the amount of quests that work here. Excellent work by the staff! I can't agree more with the "take out the trash" statement.
