Hey Eternal-WoW players! Eternal-WoW introducing a new rank into the midst of things! The new rank is titled "Eternal-WoW Helper". This new position has been in the

works for some time, and we are finally ready to announce it.

Do you think you've got what it takes to join the team?


What you do as an Eternal-WoW Helper:

1. Help players with issues in the Help Channel in TeamSpeak
2. Help find bugs, and clarify bugs that have been reported.
3. Help moderate and report hackers and other rule breakers on the forum.
4. Assist the GMs and Staff with issues.
5. Help answer questions that users post on the forum.
6. Test new content before it is released

With such a handful of duties, we need only the most qualified! Keep in mind that you are NOT becoming a GM, the objectives you will have will be forum moderation, beta testing, and helping the staff on TeamSpeak

Qualifications and requirements to apply:

1. Must be at least 16 years old.
2. Must have a WORKING MICROPHONE AND have TeamSpeak installed.
3. Must be willing to actively participate in duties outside of duties they sign up for, if asked.
4. Must have advanced knowledge in at least one aspect of the game. Be it, PvP, PvE, Leveling, Quests, Lore, etc.
5. Must have advanced knowledge of at least one class.
6. Must be able to commit 15-20+ hours weekly.
7. Must be very active in the community.
8. Must have extensive general knowledge of WoW, the UI, and how everything works within the game.
9. Must be able to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) in English. Other languages are a plus.
10. Must be in TeamSpeak when actively doing any duty involved in the Eternal-WoW helper rank.

What makes this rank different from other ranks? You will be working on improving the server and making sure Eternal-WoW is a clean, appropriate, and bug free. You get the chance to see content in game before it is released. You will have the chance to experience daily gratification as you watch our server become better. You will also be helping the community by catching, and reporting all of the hackers, and other people that do not belong here. Not to mention, you get the chance to see first hand the mechanics and inner workings Eternal-WoW itself!

Rewards:
As if getting to test new content and getting to work hands on with the community itself wasn't enough, you also will have a few other nifty things in store for helping us out.

What are GM's?
GM's are the face of our support team. They handle all tickets that come in from players across all of our realms. You handle any problems that a player may have, and redirect them to the correct people when something is beyond your spectrum. They are also the first people that have to deal with angry players, and resolve their issue with patience, professionalism, and critical thinking. GMs must maintain a professional and friendly environment when providing support. We are the buffer between the Development team and the general population. Every ticket does not need an Administrator to look at it, and every person that thinks something is bugged does not need to talk to a Developer.


Qualifications and requirements

• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must be EXTREMELY active in the community
• Must be able to commit at least 15-20+ hours to fulfill GM Duties
• Must show effort in the application - We don't expect a huge essay, but don't want one liners either.
• Must be willing to do duties outside of their regular duties
• Must be able to work as a team and strive for excellence

We are accepting applicants during all times of the day however we are especially in need for people during these time periods. (Time periods are based on server time: GMT-6. Central Time.):
2 AM-9 AM
11 AM-3 PM

But I need to tell you 1 thing. You are asking for GMs that are 15-20 hrs online for a week... well current GMs arent even 5 hrs a week, so my question is... How the hell they've become GMs??? Some of them arent even online since i started to play on this server... And you ask for guys 17y +.. Well, you should ask for IQ not age... Because some of 17y olds+ may behave like 7y old..

Every GM does 15 hours a week at the minimum, not sure where you get you info from.

Well if i go to staff list....it says offline..... + i need to w8 for my ticket from 30 min to 2 hrs...explain that... and players make an*l jokes in world.... when there is a gm they get muted...if there isnt they make jokes for whole day.......

GM's are mainly in the GMT -6 timezone, so you won't see many on if you're not on at the same times, this is something we're trying to resolve; but it's hard to do with a lower amount of applicants for other timezones.

We can not make people apply, or have the skills necessary, or even make them be Gm's.

I would personally call this a little childish and I hear too many people complaining about the fac ttheir ticket does not get answered within their own personal time scale.

I have never had a problem with length of time for a ticket. I have had one outstanding for 12 hours but I understood that my morning on GMT + 0:00 is actually bed time for most of the GM's.

You may be bugged in a wall or can't move but you can't expect their to be a night watchmen for tickets. Do you expect your bank to be open 24 hours a day? and a Bank is a bit more of an essential service.

We have the luxury of a very good quality server and we get a very good response time from GM's who do what they do because they enjoy it rather than for any financial reward.

I can bet you are the minority rather than majority. I think everyone here loves Eternal as a server provider but a few people expect too much from a free service.

I see the helper as a way of recognising those with great personal skills and are being recognised for their skills and the service they provide to the Eternal community. Not a minor rank in any way, shape or form

I always talk about that the GMs can do better, and I feel like im wrong so I decided to sign up for "Helper".
And yes im European GMT+1 so the time 11 AM - 3 PM GMT-6 would suit perfectly.
I signed up for Helper but I dont see the difference between this and GMs so you can put me anywhere!
If you decide to accept my application, how are you going to let me know?

What is your problem , besides making useless replies !?

Please read my post again and tell me why am i childish and stop hating on "the minority" just because you had a good GM experience doesn't mean we all had . And the only think i would complain is lack of GM when hackers come with faction hack and stop you from enjoying THE BEST private server. I never said anything about "owww where is the GM my spell doesn't work , ow i cant find my mount ...etc.

So don't confuse me with real annoying kids of which myself am fed up with .

Im thinking of applying, I tried before, and got accepted, but my internet got cut off before i could do the interview. The helper one sounds nice to me, and so does the GM, but:

1. If after a while I end up to not be able to get on WoW enough, can I quit without being kicked off the server (and the only reason I wouldn't be able to play WoW would be if our internet got DC-ed again, or if i have to travel.)
2. Would I have to make a new account, and then apply? It doesn't matter to me, I just don't want to end up not being able to raid or level on my current account.
3.How active in the community do you mean? I don't really know everyone, but I treat everyone with respect and I try to help people when they need help.
4. Which do you think I would be more suited for, because I really can't decide, GM, or Helper?

To clarify: There are a lot of things that set the Eternal-WoW Helper rank and the GM rank apart. Duties, and specific jobs are dramatically different. Although it may not be the easiest to see (apparently) through the original post, trust me, they're different.

I'm a Beta-tester/Eternal-wow Helper and i'm playing or redemption..
When player's call a GM in world chat or they need help I whisper them and try to help...
I think this is not enough !!!
I want to apply for a GM post but that would be too much work 10 or 12 hour's for a BT and 15 hour's for a GM ..and i'm from Europe more exactly Romania GTM +2
I know its hard for GM's and other staff's because you have more realm's but i try to help ... but i can't be a robot
Maybe i should apply to be a GM 2 ... if you reduce the time from 25-27 hour's if that work's like that ...
Oh and i agree whit ummmm ... not age .. for GM .. when they apply .. you should ask IQ ..
and i read on a topic about marketing for server ... maybe i can help whit that 2

This is the main difference between GM's and Eternal-Helpers.

GM's need to create a new account just for working on, Helpers do not (since they get no Gm access). There is also no time requirement, age requirement is lower as well.


There is people under age or who cant dedicate the hours needed for GM who still want to help. GM's are busy when they are on and there is areas lacking (such as answering questions on the forums, answering questions in world chat, testing bugs etc etc) where these people who want to help now can.And this also means our GM's wont be spread so thin trying to do everything.

All in all this will be a positive thing which will have a huge impact on the community, which is also why we are going to use VIP points as a reward for those who do this well.

Im sorry to say this but if I was the staff, I wouldnt hire you. You are saying you signed up because of the free VIP points instead of helping the community.
You probably want to help the community, but your not saying it!
