Ruin Update

An update has been done on Ruin to fix a damage exploit and make some database changes.

Changes:

  • Implemented Gilneas scripting
  • Fixed stacking damage auras
  • Some changes for Execute, Heroic strike, Shockwave, and Thunderclap
  • Fixed Translocation orbs to Silvermoon and Undercity.
  • Adjustment to Survival Instincts
  • fix for spells Life tap/Aftermath/Charge Orb
  • Change of form will no longer cancel the effects of entangled, but continue to override the effects of slowing.
  • Fixed Arcane Missiles
  • Fixed Consecration
  • Death Runes themselves should be able to turn into a Death Rune.
  • Fixed Hunter pet sizes
Also note, we are changing around the database structure and switching from CTDB to Skyfire/Silvermoon. What the heck does that mean? I'll break it down:

CTDB had more "content" but it was extremely hacky and poorly maintained. Instances and zones were overpopulated and overall pretty nasty. Skyfire/Silvermoon has a little less content, but done more professionally - creatures have correct health values, vendors sell the right items, etc.

For the time being, our plan is to attempt a careful merge of the best features of each database in order to provide, in essence, the best of the best Cataclysm realms. For the time being, several instances and zones are no longer spawned, but they will be very soon, and they will be done right. Stay tuned for more updates!

I like all the fixed except the hunter pet sizes... :/ basically now they dont work and now they dont look cool. so there completely pointless.. my Trex is smaller then me and even in retail it would be double my size -.- OH and very upset about the AH thing :/ Lost everything have tons of people who have lost 10,000-50,000 gold of stuff that was in the AH. but the good news about that is everything will go back to higher prices. Overall hopefully this will all be a good thing wont mind the hunter pet size if they fix them so u can actually use em. Thanks guys. Looking forward to upcoming Updates

Very nice indeed.
However, the Horde jc quests aside from elemental goo are still bugged, and archaeology digsites still dont show up.

Regardless. Good job on fixing a lot of things though guys! :) :clap:

Great job on fixing the bug! thats what everyone is very happy to see. on a personal note though i would ask if someone could go respawn black rock depths sometime soon. Theres some very imrtant engineering things that drop there that i need. but take ur time. Good job guys.

Any chance of an update? I for one am getting extremely bored without raids to run, having no Cata mining nodes up, etc. I've also noticed that many of my guild members only log on to see if the realm has been fixed, just to logout when I answer no.

We all appreciate what the Eternal staff has done so far, and thank you for your time and efforts.

I played in this realm, and heirlooms not work, only the gun is that it works the other does not: /
Ruin do not play in a few weeks, the heirlooms have been running all?

if eternal-wow wants to keep "ruin" running with many patient players playing on it , FIX WESTFALL CRASHES , this is serious shit.


Edit : with this kind of crashes going on , no npc @ several places ,no dailies , no profession's dailies , OMG u should change the realm name first for the better feng-shui i guess.

The deathrunes still won't work, please make sure you check if what you "fixed" actually works as intended
