This Saturday, April 2nd, Eternal-WoW will be introducing a new season to Eternal, Redemption, and Exile - Season 9!

The realms may be brought down briefly (under 1 hour) to implement the new season.

Similar to new seasons Blizzard has implemented in the past, the following will take place:

• Wrathful Gladiator will be available to all players, regardless of V.I.P. status, and will cost the same amount as Blizzard intended.*
• The Eternal realm will have a major gear shift with these changes:
  
  • Savage Gladiator will be the new starter set
  • Furious and Relentless will stay available and their costs will be made perfectly Blizz-like
• A new Season 9 armor set is to be released 1-2 weeks after Season 9 begins, and will be available for V.I.P. points.
• All Arena Teams, Arena Points, Arena Rating, and Honor Points will be deleted from all players on the Eternal, Redemption, and Exile realms in order to begin the race to be the best.

Will your team be ready to grab the new sets when they're released? Let the games begin!

* For Exile, it is likely that Wrathful will simply replace Relentless' position at 1,000 credits/piece and Relentless will drop to 500 credits/piece.

We spend 55 dollars on Wrathful, just so you guys can pump out a custom set thats even better than Wrathful. And you STILL want us to pay for it with some stupid discount.. I know you guys need money and all, but this is bit too extreme..

I'm going to have to agree with Sainallagatla95 on this one. A lot of people will be severely pissed off about the implementation of wrathful, especially if they have donated just recently for it. I'm not saying that you won't please a lot more people in the process, but why the sudden change? Is the extra revenue really needed? And adding season 9? Really? I'm sorry, but it seems to me that that will just broaden the gap between donors and non-donors even further.

We have done several polls that brought us to this decision.


Wrathful will still be up as a VIP purchase, since not many people will ever be able to get the arena ratings needed to gain the set.

There is a new custom set that will be more expensive, people who purchased wrathful (for VIP points) will be able to just pay the difference to upgrade.

Still have a bit of mixed feelings regarding this change though. When we mention that polls have been conducted, I only remember 1 poll in the recent past, and the verbiage and availability of poll choices (in my opinion) set that poll up for failure. In addition, having such a poll placed within a forum full of people that spend a majority of their time complaining about donors seems to me to complicate the issue.

Nevertheless, thank you for a clear and concise bit of info that answers the question on any donors mind.

May I additionally ask, what will the average difference in cost be per piece?

Matt, you've stated many times you don't think people will make the arena rating for it, why the hell would you admit that? Are you saying this because of the useless capability of your new "Savage" system? Because Savage vs Fury = Fury, no matter what. Savage is blue, Fury is purple, Fury is useless now, but will eventually feel like wrathful against savage players.

Not only that, but half the server has the same armor you have, in what? Less than 1 hour? Who knows, once this new shit comes out, it'll flush for an hour and it's the same problem.

All I here is WaaWhaa Waha Waaa. What does any other server do in time? Yes that's right upgrade/revamp/keep peoples interest up, Sets new goals for other people. People like you who donate to get gear, rather then grind for it, are the idiots keeping ICC 25 Hc and other raids from ever working. Shadowmourne for example.....The amount of crap you need to finish the quest is just as good as donating in my mind. If you want Donating/non donating to ever be happy is to separate them. Devs could invest some time into Donor only BG's/Arena's, or Donor only server. . Until then Quit your Whining.

P.S. I do however agree that there should have been a month notice, that wrathful is worthless now to the people who just threw in all that money to recently get it......LOL 3 days notice....YAY Rip off.

Sorry to say, but it was already the case with Relentless or worse (non-donor) VS Wrathful (donor).

What people don't realize is that relentless is a crap gear that is easily farmed (low cost of arena points and honor).
will cost the same amount as Blizzard intended. I'd like to see you guys "farm" Wrathful gear in "less that 1 hour". FYI, to buy wrathful gear, you must have a minimum TR (Team Rating). Shoulders require a minimum of 2000 TR. I don't think everyone have that much TR. And from a certain TR, you should LOSE TR points if you lose matches. I'm not sure it's the case here.

All I hear from YOU is WaaWhaa Waha Waaa, your a contradiction. Your complaining on a private server where marketing is the only revenue to keep this server alive, and people do pay for Shadowmourne instead of spending weeks to do a quest because in their perspective, they don't want to work for it and private servers take advantage of that. It's not a bad thing, but when the server puts up a smallass notice and rips people off of gears, then it's not fair for donors. Your talking this much shit because DONORS are keeping this server alive, if it weren't for donors, you would be in a completely different perspective. And Donors buy shit to be ahead of the population, donor only BG/Arena isnt fair for them, they want to faceroll with gear, so get some more skill and stop QQ'ing about donors.

The only reason I said "Wrathful gear in "less than 1 hour". is because of the flushes that made the server come to this awful decision, and you do lose arena points in a very small extent, but you earn more than you lose per win.

I say that because of how few teams have a 1800+ rating right now. We checked and it is a shockingly low number when you consider the team ratings have not been reset ever.

In 2 years around 10% of the population made a 1800+ rating.


People also need to remember, 2V2 teams don't qualify for Wrathful.... 3V3 and 5v5 only.

The system is set up to start people off with savage and allow the immediate gratification of easy upgrades, within hours you will be out of it. This is the way tiering works and always have, it gets harder to upgrade as you get closer to the best gear.

This will just make it worse, at least on Redemption. As it stands now, wrathful gear is partly obtainable for non donors via VoA 25 (the offset, legs, and gloves) Now, we wont even have even a slight chance against donors. Ohey dk that has 40k health and 2500 resilience, bugged killing machine, and god knows what else, ima try and kill you. Yea, not going to happen. I dont think many people will want to pvp after this gets implemented. You know who's going to make it to 2k+ rating? The strictly donor teams. Any non donor teams who get anywhere near there will be knocked down by the lower ranked s9 teams, effectively cutting us off from wrathful.

So lets say i write the first time in forum, i read it every day and thats the first time i've to say what i thinking about it.

I like it what you're saying about wrathfull gladiator, you add it, so that we can use it like at blizzserver sounds really nice. So nobody can get it fast and you've to have a high arenarating for it, so only the best players can get it. Really good, i like it

New starter set Savage? Dont know why.. but its okay too, so you've to farm a bit pvp and learn how to play your class. And you can try to fight against high equipped characters. I think about 2.4.3 there was s4 out and ive become to 1800 rating and has only s3 and i fighted always against s4 member.. so it was okay.

What i can't understand is the custom gear.. I mean okay, you need money at all i know, but you've much more you can do. Nobody has any chance against donors and there are more donors now out there, because the gear is better than wrathfull. So if you're in arena and you fight against them, you've no chance at all.. Can't understand why this gets in the game.

What my questions are: Is wrathfull available for votepoints then? or any other icc items or something else and all the other vip things get custom gear?
Are vote points getting reseted?
Can i get a title for being maybe rank 1 (gladiator) after the season 8 closed?
