Security of your Account

#1 by FaTe » Tue Nov 02, 2010 6:29 pm

It has come to our attention that users have have been giving other people their account information so they can donate for them. Recently, MANY of those accounts that were donated for have been permanently banned because of fraudulent donations.

All the accounts that were banned for this reason will not be unbanned. We will show no sympathy for user's that choose to ignore our Terms of Service which everyone must accept when registering.

We would like to remind all user's that your account is your responsibility and we will not help you if something happens to it.

Wait, what happened?

Person A gave the account info to Person B.
Person B purchased points for Person A.
Donations were fraudulent and so Person A's account was banned.

How were the donations "fraudulent"? Can we not donate for people?

The payments on the donations were reversed, I assume. That's an auto-ban.

We have seen everything from stolen paypal accounts to stolen credit cards, to someone just getting a laugh out of screwing people over.
