Owndar, you are correct. Lots of people will leave, and not just randoms, but the stable core of players on Redemption, making Redemption what it is today. We hate to see dedicated players leave even if they do have reasons to leave.

But you have to see it from our perspective as well. We aim for long-term progress here, and in order to progress with our Redemption realm, we need to follow certain changes to minimize the amount of bugs. Redemption might die out for a while, but we are sure to have it rise again with population, and this time with people who are used to the fundamental change: no cross faction.

You have to realize that cross faction causes more harm than well. It bugs a lot of instances, raids, not to mention the whole dynamics of the game itself. In order to overall increase our prosperity, we have now had to cut off a thing you value highly. For this, I apologize. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

However, the option is not yours, and you are free to leave. I want you to realize we are acting for the servers overall good, even if it sometimes do seem to conflict with your own opinions. But just like in real life, if you really want to make a change, you have to join the movement yourself. If you think yourself to have good opinions and power enough to act - join our crew.

I hope this reply explained our reasons to do as we did for all who seem angry about this fix. I have to remind you that no matter how much you oppose this idea, it will remain.

Sadist, we all agree with your post. We all. I don't mind this change its nice to know that more instances will work, but many ppl will just go when its possible for you to keep them here. I think the staff should reconsider the option for free race change just for 1 week so the old players that grants eternal-wow that stability ur talking about to change faction and play with friends. After that you can make that change donors only. In that way cross faction will no longer stays in the way of improving instances and beside that players will be happy and won't leave. Think about it.

I got a question, did you guys fix the Sons of Hodir questline that should get us friendly with the specified faction, as it's the only faction that grants us access to shoulders enchant (WOTLK enchants at least, I'm not talking about Aldor/Scryers >.>...

COLL3C7OR, I will bring this suggestion up to the staff. I agree with this idea as well. I will post here again once I have had the time to discuss it with the owner and admins.

Lyonheart, this patch does not originate from us but from Trinity. There are a lot of fixes, but regarding Sons of Hodir questline - no idea. You are free to try it out, and if you encounter any bug report it on our bug section of the forum for Redemption realm.

You should atleast put the Hodir quartermaster eventhough the questline doesn't work. I have exalted with them from badges , I wanna buy me the superior crit gem pattern ^^
