We are currently recruiting Game Masters!

What is a GM's job?
The job of a GM is to make sure the playing environment is appropriate, clean, and hack free! They are the face of the staff as being the first people that players contact for support. This also means that they get all the abuse when players get mad. GMs must maintain a professional and friendly environment when providing support. We are the buffer between the Development team and the general population. Every ticket does not need an Administrator to look at it, and every person that thinks something is bugged does not need to talk to a Developer. We help point others to where they should be posting and pass on the issues that need to be addressed by someone else.


There are some requirements however:

• Must be at least 17 years old
• Must be active in the community - we don't accept people who come in and post an application on the day they joined
• Must be able to commit at least 15 hours a week to meet GM duties
• Must show effort on the application, we don't expect a 3 page essay, but we don't want one-liners either
• Must be able to work as a team and strive for excellence!
• MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE VIA VOICE IN VENTRILO

We are also looking for beta testers!
We are also currently in need for beta testers! The requirements for this are as follows:

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must be able to commit at least 20 hours a week to meet Beta Tester Duties
• Must have the passion to find bugs and report them to the correct forum
• Must have a working microphone
• Must be able to work as a team and strive for excellence

hey Phyrexius, i think you forgot to say that game masters also need to have microphone :p cause i made an application as game master and i said i didnt have microphone, then it got denied

I can agree that working as a GM is a blast!

Pro's that you gain out of it yourself as a GM:
- You get to learn more about the community than as a player
- You get a peak behind the screens
- You get to help a load of players
- You get the thrill of chasing and banning hackers.
- You can answer your knowledge of wow with other people
- The feeling after people say in a whisper "thank you, you're the best GM ever" is just unbelievable

possible downsides:
- 15 hours is a load of time/work
- You start to see the game through another perspective as you're kinda always answering problems and watch for hackers when you're on your playing character

Well, I've posted as a GM either but I didn't read the terms, -all- of them, so I didn't see that you need what skills I do have. Well, now I am waiting for 16 days to pass( those are the days left ) to repost to what I can do.. ^^ I've got the apply ready. And.. -I- am into the community, I just don't post much. I mean, I always read posts regarding the server etc.

Just wondering, why the age limit of 17 for GM and 16 for beta? Shouldn't they be the same?

If you do not receive a reply it means you have been denied. There is too many applications for each person to be sent a denied message.

There is this GM named Dbz or something said to me "Idk, ask the developer". when i ask about my raidinfo bug. Cool.

I think My Application never got finished. Hm. xD
Maybe it's been denied idk. But when I clicked apply, the error message would always tell me that I have a wrong input though I don't know the problem. I had headphones, blanks filled, mark checked, then I thought I must be denied. But why does the website tell me about error and don't let me send it? O.O
