I have been a GM for this server twice now, both times I was fired due to inactivity. However, both times were during a spot of server trouble, once during the massive DDoS and again during a period of high traffic/lag. Both times, I fell short of the required time by a mere hour or two.

I loved helping folks, and my time has become free again. Would it be acceptable for me to reapply, or would I be wasting the effort?

Also, huge ty to the current batch of staff. You guys are doing wonderfully.

I mean I know how to play the game and I am nearly the oldest player in this server. I just afraid of that "exam" part. And I don't know how to use that ArcEmu or Ascent (these programs). In a word, I don't have experience for being a Gm or a Staff Member. Nobody gave me a chance. But i like this server and i will keep playin.

Lol, I applied myself,quite excited just applying but, it's never guarenteed for me myself atleast to get a spot, But I do wish everyone else who applied a Good luck would love to see alot more friendly staff members (even though there is alot as it is but, doesn't hurt to have more ) If I get accepted though myself great..If not..Oh well I will still continue to play the servers as I love them very much.

Well I just read all three pages of post and came to a conclusion.

Those wanting to be Gm's need to have the professional ethics which are required of a job.
I was part of a hiring team at my last job and even though we turned individuals away for inexperience they were glad to have had use look at them as a possible applicant.

With each job there is a job description which is posted in part of the qualifications.
If a job tells you to be a certain age before applying there is a reason for this.

I have been trained thru college and post-secondary vocational trades to follow ROI "Release of Information", professiona ethics, and confidentialtiy.

For each job I have applied for I have to remember my place and understand I do not know everything even though I may be confident in everything I try to accomplish.

There is always room to improve each other thru our experiences.

So to those players who were unable to apply for what ever the reasons may have been. Do not hold agression against the staff members. This is a business and they are seeking to find the best bang for their buck in a sense. If they say your not experienced enough maybe instead of complaining ask in a PM or on TS where you may improve yourself. If they say your to young which is the case sometimes ask if there is anything you can possible do in the future.

Your actions today affect the responses of the staff of eternal-wow in the future. Don't count your chickens before they hatch and don't burn your bridges.

Those who become successful learn from their mistakes and try to progress rather than complain.

Is this a paid job or just voluntary? I have like 3 years experience in WoW from TBC to Wotlk and I'm now playing on retail. I know both pve and pvp contents and every class and race in game. Dunno if I should apply though, 'cause I don't want to work for free trying to find a real job.

I'd expect that this be a voluntary job. The money this community earns shouldn't go to 'hiring' game moderators/developers etc. It should go to server upgrades for additional realms, higher player caps, and if need be, 'hiring' professional developers. Whether or not you get paid for being hired as a developer is another question, because that would be something you'd have to query with one of the high-ranked staff, though there is the question of whether they'd tell you that kind of information.
Keeping to the topic, just a quick query, I know it says "Must be 16/17 years or older" on both the Helpers and GM requirements, and I see that the "Must be..." is very probably emphasizing it, though do you ever slightly bend that requirement for certain people? I'm fourteen years of age and a lot of people have told me you don't hire young'ins because 'they're all immature', whereas I find that's not the case for some people. I know a few fourteen year old's that show great maturity and have immense initiative. I s'pose it all comes down to the under-aged players you can trust.

i think that they are also searching for experienced players. the chance that a 17 year old has more experience then a 14 year old is slightly bigger.

Now back to topic:
is there also a need for designers?
i have 4 years experience with designing and i'm currently on a game design academy in amsterdam.
Just need to know if there's still a need for designers if that's the case i can show some work and my portfolio.
