Question about some mobs

#1 by Monik4 » Sun Dec 25, 2011 9:37 am

So all those human mobs ( pirates below booty bay/ tanaris etc ) they have their pets
The mobs themselves do 80 damage, but their pets do over 300 dmg for some reason with normal attack
Is there a way to lower that damage ? Its impossible to level without dying over 10 times at those areas

Yep, the imps hack. ):

In order to survive?

You'll probably want to pop a defensive and then burst down the mob and ignore the minion. Usually the mob has a lot less HP than the minion and you can hopefully get it dead before the minion kills you. Don't be afraid to pop potions and take a tactful retreat when needed.

If you're ranged DPS, there's an additional bug with some mobs that if you engage them at range they'll just stand there. A lot of the minions are bugged like that so if you can stay at range and not close in and kill the mob then go in to collect your loot after the minion poofs. (Examples of such mobs: Free boarders in Tanaris, the Warlock imps in Redridge, the warlock minions in Booty Bay...) Or you can Line of Sight some ranged mobs and they'll just stand there instead of coming to join the fray, allowing you to take the time you kill their melee buddies and regen some mana/hp. (Lots of mobs in fortresses do this. Including the warlock guy in Silverpine, the orcs in Redridge... etc)
Redemption
I've retired from Redemption. Farewell, friends!
It was fun. <3

Genesis
I'm only telling you that I have a gnome warlock named Sensual.
Process that for awhile.
