I'm fine with the separated chat, and in general the Blizzard like running of the server. however, with so many bugged quests and low server population I would suggest a few things. Lockbox opening & playermade quest items for vote rewards would be nice. With such a low server population obtaining these things is near impossible. Much as I would like to see all AH's go neutral, I can't imagine that it would be feasible, seeing the current programming issues I would not want to introduce a possibly game crashing feature. But could we maybe make the AH cheaper to post to? Or possibly add in some longer post times? Just trying to be helpful and realistic!

TBC doesn't exist on retail anymore.

The packet filtering and the math algorithms have recieved a lot of changes since wrath/cata so they can't just log in their level 70 anymore and hack the appropriate hexes and packets for spells.

What a lot of servers have to do is hack fixes in c++ and they aren't really that stable (eg. server crashes are caused by wrong hex coding and it's sending info that crashes the realm.)




So unless the admins are complete faggots like Bazinga or moltenwow - don't shun them for like, blink not working or a quest being broken. If you fix something it breaks 5 other things unfortunately.

I have one suggestion. I don't know how difficult it would be, or if it's even possible, but as we all know there are certain items from certain bosses, instances, and raids (which are broken) that are almost MUST HAVES. Starter items like [Splintered Door of the Citadel] or [Ephemeral Snowflake] from Halls of reflection, or [Solace of the Fallen] from togc. Another example is the loot from ICC loot ship which doesn't work.

It would be nice if these items could be made available through either triumph badges, or even for sale in the auction house at really high prices giving people incentive to earn gold. I'm not looking for shortcuts to gain them, but it sucks to try to make your character the best it can be, and have that be impossible because the items you need are impossible to get.

If it's possible to do, you could simply start a thread, and people could list the items that are impossible to get that they thing should be made available. In fact making those items available through the voting system might even be better.

If the idea is to have the closest possible experience to a blizz server, then having some of the most important items in game (two best healer trinkets for example) unavailable, is exactly the type of issue that should be remedied.

Repair jormungar encounter in Trail of the Crusader, it's more than enough as far as starter gear goes. Rest is fine.

Or do like I said, since things aren't being fixed, or are unlikely to be fixed anytime soon. It not only gets the items in game that should be in in game (including ulduar gear), but also, as I pointed out, gives people incentive to vote. Another gear issue I wanted to point out is that with toc/togc bugged the T9.5/9.8 (il 245 and 258) gear is unavailable. and at least for my class (resto druid), and probably for others that is IMO better than the t10. Just another example of why this server is not blizz-like, and why my suggestion would make it more-so.

You are describing redemption, you can jump and play there. you can also vote for gear there. Failing realm or not no body cares, it's a new realm that has at least 1 month, give it time. people play here to have fun and to different from other realm wich this one happens to be focused and based upon its blizzlike policy.

This realm is not failing, we are still seeing a slow but steady increase of players.


When we but this realm up for a vote, we made it clear there would be no gear up for sale or vote, and that there would be little to no dev time put into it. We explained this would be pure trinity as is, and would be updated to each stable trinity revision. This means the fixes that go in are the ones that trinity does.

This was agreed on by you the players.

for the 3rd times now if not more on Genesis forums, idk how others don't. The server is UBER epic.
New topics whit titles like "Heirlooms" "Realm failing" etc should be loked whit an answer "See the comments on XY topic you'll find you're answer there".

I started playing here a couple days ago, and have found ZERO issues with low level items, quests(I was grouped with a friend who was questing near exodar and it gave me the option to do his escort even though I was in SW... Don't remember if that was normal) or npcs. I absolutely love this server, and have even recruited a bunch of old friends to come and play. My toon is 32 now, and I have filled all my items slots with green or better gear, have found 2 blues I can use from world drops, and even got a cruel barb from deadmines my first run. Warriors are probably the most gear dependent class and I'm leveling just fine without the AH at all. New servers always start slow, give it time, and use this slow pace to enjoy leveling and learning your class. Finding out now how intervene works or that you can BOP in stuns might save a raid wipe later.

It was also stated that because it was blizz-like, and would have very few modifications, it would therefore work better than Redemption. I don't play redemption so I don't know all the differences, but I do know that TOC, and TOGC do work on redemption, but not on Genesis. People certainly weren't voting for a 2x server with fewer functioning dungeons, and raids than Redemption.

Whoa there. The server has tried your option of cross chatting. It failed. We switched back.
I'm worth but the only rule I agree with of yours is 4.1. Materials (nothing like frozen orbs) but herbs for leveling alchemy etc. would be a fabulous idea. Hope an admin takes suggestion 4.1 into consideration.

In response to mattmeck, this realm needs scripting. I understand that you're all abOut the money, but for god sakes could we at least get some quests scripted? About 1/4 of my quests over 1 to 80were bugged. Maybe even 1/3. This damn near makes the x2 rate obselete. We may nOt be making you money on this realm, but as players come here they'll try out Your donation realms. It's as simple as if you give a mouse a cookie.
Anyways, if you really don't care about the realm that we love as head manager of the server, the future looks grim for this realm. You might find me off at molten sometime soon.

If it works on Redemption it works on Genesis, if it works on Genesis it works on Redemption.

They are identical.

We never stated anything about working "better".

I LOL-ed IRL! You may go to molten any second. Molten is full whit 9 year old kids who will camp u at lvl 9. Thank god there are no such kids on Genesis! For the 16 billion time GENESIS is THE BEST! And it WILL remain like this!

PS: it is hilarious how u got trouble lvling. lvl 1-70 is like "lay back and enjoy" lvl 70+ gets a bit difficult. Yes Northrend has alot of bugged quests, BUT even so u can lvl to 80 EASY! There are ppl who skip 1-2 zones and get to 80, it is interesting how u had to grind XP to get to 80. This means only 1 thing: blizzlike servers were not made for u! Go play 20x reams where u get 10 lvls for 1 quest! Dont talk trash about a server which is IMBAH! But once again these things have been discussed about in 100 million topics yet there are still some "informed" players who take their time to talk "bla bla".

What does Money have to do with anything?

We do NOT have the developers to work on this realm, we made that loud and clear. We CANT put any dev work into it because we do not have the developers to have them work on it.


The community wanted a low rate server.... we did a poll, with it very clear, that if we did this we would not take a dev away from any other work and the only updates done here would be by updates Trinity does, or if dev fixes something that can be used on all realms.


Now, I am sorry if you have a lack of understanding and want to believe "the man" is out to get you, but we have been honest and right up front the entire time.
