It has been a cluster fuck of bad and worse situations going on.
A little info,
One of our boxes suffered hardware failure.. This cause lag for the two realms hosted on it... which cause issues with the rest..
Our data center moved to give us better quality service... The place they moved too has contracted employees that dont even know how to chew gum and talk at the same time....
With the move we have seen a major decrease in our latency to the boxes, and we hat a mysterious BW cap when we are nowhere near our cap. Turns out this is because another company at the DC is being DDOS attacked and since we are on the same network we have issues too..
in the middle of all of this, one of the major internet backbone companies suffered some damage to a part of their network that crosses the ocean from Europe to the USA.. Yes this is whats causing most of the lag for all the EU people. Why does this not happen on every server? Because they are located in a different place so your ISP routs you differently.
There have been some honest mistakes by some of the staff thats caused some downtime.... You guys wouldnt have thought anything about it if it was not for everything else.
Any one of these things hurts us.... all together we want to go slap someone .
