It's great that you've fixed the issue, but I'm still having trouble. I can connect and log in to Redemption...but all character names and NPC names show up as Unknown, and I can't interact with them. I can't use spells, can't chat, can't see my friend list or guild list. I talked to a moderator over Vent but we weren't able to resolve my issue.

I'm really happy that you guys are putting in the effort to eliminate lag, it really shows you care! However, I was also getting regular lag spikes Monday night. It really didn't feel any different in my opinion =(
but! I appreciate the effort. Keep up the great job of maintaining the server!

They are trying to fix the lag on our part as best as they can. But you have to try on yours.. Sometimes the lag is because a fail internet connection or computer problems :)

Other then that they have been doing small server clean ups that have been working very well.

As I said before, I talked to a moderator who suggested all those things. I also ran the Repair program, then updated to the latest patch (3.3.5.12340) and still nothing.

Nikothraa, I've now sat down and studied the issue up-hand.

(Link removed.)

This commonly means there is a bottleneck delaying the transfer of information.

First, simply restart the computer, then go into the WoW folder and delete the "Cache" and "WTF" folders. Afterwards there are three main factors to investigate when experiencing this issue. The checksum offload setting, duplex setting and a router's firmware. What is occurring is that some data that is being sent to your computer is being filtered or blocked entirely.

Another leading cause of the Unknown Entities issue is outdated firmware on the router.

If you are confused about what to do, I would suggest calling those you bought the router from and see if there are any updates on your router (assuming you do have a router).

Also, to verify that it is your connection being disrupted, please make a tracert.

To do a tracert, open the Command Prompt, and write:
tracert login.eternal-wow.com

Post back the result (right click the Command Prompt window, select "Select all", and copy with the Ctrl+C shortcut).

I've deleted my cache and WTF folders, as well as updated my Firmware, but so far all that's happened is made my problem worse; I used to be able to disconnect/reconnect to my router after WoW dropped my internet connection...but now I must restart my computer to re-establish the connection. As for the tracert, here's the result:

Tracing route to login.eternal-wow.com []
over a maximum of 30 hops:

I see nothing wrong with your connection.

Have you tried changing the the Duplex and Checksum Offload?

(Link removed.)

The Duplex and Checksum Offload settings in the Network Card may need to be adjusted for better performance.

- Locate your network card (reply if you have any problem locating it).
- Right click the network card and select Properties.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- If you have an option to set the Duplex setting set it to 100BaseTX Full Duplex.
- If you have an option to set the Checksum Offload setting, may vary in specific naming, disable this setting.

Changing these options will normally cause your connection to reset temporarily. You may also have to restart your system after changing these options to connect to the internet once more.

If the above does not work:
I would try connecting from another connection to Eternal servers to see if the problem persists (just to be entirely sure the problem isn't linked to your character or account).

I also suggest you try another WoW client (installing a second one, or reinstall your original one).

If all of the above fails, it is outside my expertise. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Regards,
Ryuudan

My wireless card doesn't have either of those options in the Properties > Advanced tab, I looked under every available option in the list. As for another connection, there are currently 2 others available; one is stealthed, so I don't have it in my connections list and the other is not compatible with my wireless card. Believe me, I've tried.

As for going to someone else's house, I've only recently moved to Canada from the States, so I have no friends to help me test this with.

I'll give uninstalling and reinstalling the client a shot.

EDIT: ----------
It seems whenever I try to patch, I'm able to make a little progress before my connection drops and I must restart my computer again. I'm beginning to think that Blizzard doesn't want me playing on this server.

Spend 5 minutes in warsong gulch, and you will see that there is still some major lag issues. Everyone i talk to during the bg also says they are experiencing some heavy duty lag spikes, so I know its not just me.

From what i can tell the lag is still very much there, perhaps a little bit less frequent but still very much there seem to me that its player based the more players online the worse the lag spikes become ie 600 players almost no lag at all 800 players its noticeable not too bad tho 1000 players it starts getting really bad long pauses enough to get tanks killed in heroics lol 1300+ i start to get d/c'ed because the pause are so long lol. definitly a very good server to play on far better than anyother i have played on very nice job guys. Only thing that is bothering me is the AH no being able to get the money from your sale sucks! I'm sure you will find a way to fix thx again for all your hard works everyone!
