General Forum Rules
Searching is key! Before you post a question, use the forum search feature to determine whether your topic has already been covered. Use general terms.
Do not start a flame war. If you have a problem with someone, other then a reportable issue (eg. Hacking), message that person and carry on a private discussion. Also, if someone has engaged in behavior that is a detriment to the message board: spamming, flaming people, advertising, contact one of the forum moderators.
Flaming the offensive user will only increase the problem. Harassment is not tolerated.
Make sure you are posting constructive criticism, whether it's negative or positive. Contrary to what some people believe, we do take feedback from here into account.

DO NOT
Flame or insult other members. [WARN / BAN]
Bypass the swear filter or other filters. [WARN / BAN]
Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, email, phone number, etc.) [WARN]
Bump old threads unless you have a good reason. [WARN]
Post spam or make pointless posts that don't contribute to a thread (+1, lol, etc.) [WARN]
Openly argue with a moderator. Contact the Moderator via a private message. [WARN / BAN]
Bash any of the staff and the choices they make. [WARN / BAN]
Complain/Bash donors. [WARN]

PROHIBITED TOPICS
Porn, gross stuff, or anything else not safe for work
Piracy, warez
Cheating, hacking, game exploits [FORUM & GAME BLOCK]
Leaked content
Posting copyrighted material such as magazine scans
Soliciting, auctioning, selling, advertising, referrals [FORUM & GAME BLOCK]
Racism, discrimination
Drugs, alcohol
Religious, political, and other “prone to huge arguments” threads [WARN / BAN]

No Backseat Moderating
Let the Forum Moderators do the moderating. Backseat Moderating is when people who are not Moderators try to enforce the forum rules. Whenever you see a person breaking the rules, take advantage of the "Report this post to a moderator" link. Or simply IGNORE the offensive post(s) or thread. The most common backseat reply is the "+1 in before lock" phrase. Backseat moderating is annoying, and pointless.

Report Post to the Moderators
Should you observe a fellow forum member breaking these rules please report the post by clicking the Report Post [!] button located to the right of every post, or if that feature is unavailable feel free to contact any of the Forum Staff.

Account Termination
Users who are found to be repeat offenders will be removed from the forums.

Disclaimer
Administrators/Moderators reserve the right to move, change, or delete any content at any time if they feel it is inappropriate or unsuitable, also depending on the type of rules broken and the number of warnings you already have, we decide the length of any forum account ban.

My guess is that's the specific rule which forbids you from posting those custom quests.

Well if you don't think it's classified as "leaked content", please feel free to tell us why that man's thread was deleted.

My guess is as good as yours.

I don't think that it broke any specific rules but rather they just want to keep the quest line as challenging and fresh as possible and they don't want all the locations exposed. Everything in this game can already be almost done with your eyes closed and add-ons doing all the work for you, in this case things like questhelper and carbonite telling you where to go for quest items/npcs and they made this quest line as a diversion from that for people that are bored and or want a challenge again.

I think if you had broke a specific rule you would have been made aware of it and probably punished in some fashion.

Artillery is correct. The whole point of those quests is for them to be challenging and for them to be done in teams without having someone tell you the answer's. That's why i deleted your post because otherwise they become to easy and then all the time that [Arcitect]Arlaa spent on them was time wasted.

People ingame wont even tell you the answer's most of the time and im not going to let it be told here as well, sorry if it pissed you off that i deleted the topic but for the sake of those quests being what their suppose to be it had to be done.

If you think it's so easy why not apply to be architect? It does in fact take a lot of time to make these quests. You have to plan them out (writing the storylines, creating the custom items, custom npcs, making sure all the spelling and grammar is correct, ect). On top of all this Arlaa also had find good hiding spots for the crystal's and also had to come up with some witty riddles that would be hard to decipher but also not so easy that you can get them on the first read through.

Simple fact is that it does take a lot of time to make these quests and a lot of hard work by our Architect went into this and i refuse to let them be ruined and all that hard work gone to waste because a few bad apples are to lazy to actually WORK towards the rewards.

the thing is , and thats why i was pissed off is that i looked at the forum rules and there was nothing against it, so i did it and i did it becouse i got all the answers from ingame players, becouse i didnt get the riddles, im not that good in english, and i went nuts searching for them ,.... im from germany and for gods sake i even dont know what a marsh is (no dict found it),. so i asked for help ingame, and kindly people helped me, and i helped others with that post,....

i understand that the work the architect did is not that simple (i made some quest myselfe on my privatte server, it takes time and work,.. ) , and btw THANKS FOR THE QUESTLINE !

but fact is wowhead or other sites are showing every single quest , so want to close them too????

so i think its not that nice that people went nuts (like me) becouse the dont understand the english riddles ,.......
thats why i did it

and it was only ment as a bonus if u are smart enouth to get the first two books u can do the others with my post, but whatever !!!!

...and btw i got a warning for that post, i dont know what that means but a warning for something i didnt see in forum rules as wrong , and isnt really against the rules ..... idk !

greetings haame

I think your misunderstanding what im saying, im not talking about all quests im talking about custom quests (the ones we have up) that are NOT on wowwiki or wowhead. Yeah parts of the answer's for them are but the quests themselves are not.

The warning is simple a warning that is all.

Now this discussion is closed.
