On the day I saw this news about new rank...I hesitated - cause my first impression about the Helper was that it is not GM, which might mean I won't be helping much, which also means no impact...but if there is a reward for this job, then it must be something important!

Im sorry to say this but if I was the staff, I wouldnt hire you. You are saying you signed up because of the free VIP points instead of helping the community.
You probably want to help the community, but your not saying it!

People that just get the rank and dont do anything will be taken off staff quickly, with zero rewards. We are not giving out something for nothing, need to work for it!

Well if i go to staff list....it says offline..... + i need to w8 for my ticket from 30 min to 2 hrs...explain that... and players make an*l jokes in world.... when there is a gm they get muted...if there isnt they make jokes for whole day.......

I am one of the Senior GMs who is in charge of hiring and firing staff. Ionai, Wickedsick and myself get together and discuss new applications, GMs & Mods and hire/fire everyday. All applications are researched and all GMS ares checked for hours, commands and performance. If a GM does not have 15 hours a week or are away for more than 3 days they are let go. As for tickets not being answered in 2 hours...that is highly unlikely. We have a ticket page that displays all realms and I know the staff now is very good at hopping from realm to realm clear these tickets. I ask you if you feel you can do a better job or be an asset to my team, please step up and apply. We could always use more help. Thank you.

Myriad itss that way nearly everday the opposite times to that which you come on, bar a few hours either way. Usually just me and Matt sitting in TeamSpeak all alone, but as Matt mentioned there's nothing we can do about not having GM's who're actively on at those hours.

I'd really like to help out, however I don't have a mic, and, even if I did, I *kinda* don't want to end up like most players on retail who scream out, or talk about tactics/mechanics/problems - in the middle of the night.

lol i like eternal wow and all but i also play retail wow and go to college - some ppl don't have 15 to 20 hrs a week to spend (2.15 hr a day on 15 hrs a week). i play in gmt - 0 ( london) so im like on a night time which is lunch to mid afternoon in america. go frost mage - no.1 pvp spec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically these roles will be Beta Testers on steroids. You will mainly be working on the Dev realms finding bugs and testing, then post (reporting) them to the Devs to fix. On the Dev realms you will have GM type access. You will also be in Teamspeak and work with the GMs to help alleviate their workload. If any of this sounds interesting and manageable to you...APPLY!!
