Another problem! tried both hc and normal mode of gundrak. no elder at the stone dude.
what am i doin wrong (again!) ?

The elder in Gundrak is in Eck's room. You can only get to this room on heroic and after killing Moorabi a tunnel will open up which you can go down to get to this area.

Set to heroic mode.
Kill Moorabi (the first boss if you queue up); the one with mobs that are trolls, and not the 'snake room'.
In the same room he is in, behind the troll mobs, a door within the wall will open.
Go through there and you'll be in Eck's chamber (the one with mobs that look like "frog monsters").
The Elder is also there.
