To the Drive-By Miners of Redemption (Part Deux)

#1 by VieraCommander » Sat Jan 21, 2012 2:06 pm

CUT IT OUT!!! You DO realize that by taking ONLY the ore and leaving the junk that you completely screw up the respawn rates? You bitch about Titanium not spawning? Well maybe if you stopped ninja'ing the ore from Saronite nodes and let them fade out, then MAYBE you'd get a little more Titanium nodes spawning! Seriously, what benefit do you think comes from this? Clear out some extra bag space for the junk and quit screwing it up for the rest of us!!!

this is an argument as old as the game, no matter how much you complain they won't stop doing it. it sucks but what can you do, the admin reduced the amount of the eternals and such that nodes gave out in an attempt to make them stop (the average excuse was "too much crap, no bag space" etc) but yeah, that was just an excuse, they do it cuz they can.

ehm... "to much crap" must be the WORST argument in the world, there are sooooo many addons out there that clear trash (based on item quality/name/etcetcetcetcetc) out of ur inventory. from the top of my head we got lootfilter. great addon, used it ALOT for boting on retail.

Its kinda retarded though, why not just shift+click (or turn on auto loot in interface) and just have it loot everything in shorter time than it takes u too click the ores.

because it fills my bag with crap that i dont need or want. so when i mine i carry only one or two bags, with each slot filled with 1 ore. so i dont have to worry about sorting through the shit after.

lol /agreed
Can't stand not having auto loot on when i'm mining/gathering/skinning. Gets annoying for me to have to manually click on each item. Annoying ppl on the other hand... :P

Whatever the problem may be, nothing changes that the people who are trying to level a profession are suffering.
I've got into this server and came from one that was obviously better thanks to two things, one are the rates, I like them a lot, the second is what may be a bug, the mat drops in Veins and Deposits. I think they are doubled before Outland, and that's great. Thanks to the rates I was able in the first time of my WoW life to keep a profession high enough to create something better than the quest equipment, and thanks to the drops I was able to actually create the items... and seriously, that was fun.
But that stops in Outland. It's a real suffering to mine some Fel Iron, but still viable, mining adamantine seems a bit easier thanks to many mines around... but Khorium... where do I even find that, seriously?

I understand already how Wowhead is useless to track veins and deposits, but do I have to explore all outland to find out that there are only 1-3 Khorium Veins each region?

I guess this isn't the right place to make a suggestion, but I don't know where I should suggest, and I'm too new here to start a topic, but ahem:
"Can all the Veins and Deposits follow either one of these systems?"
1- Same respawn speed as Herbs. (wich is around 1 minute)
2- Doubled drop ammount. (wich is how Cooper, Tin, Gold, Silver, Iron, Mithril and Thorium behave)
3- Have more spawning points and more density, also called "Mines". (Like 6-10 around a point whose distance is close enough so your Find Mineral skill track them all at once, or just many of them inside a real mine).

Well, the point of this post is actually around one problem. Some stuff is easy to get, some stuff is too hard to get. And that applies even when you compare different professions.
Herbalism have an easy time (at least in the place I've tested, Darkshore) with fast respawns, Mining got high drops (for ores and stones only, while gems and such almost never come, wich is sad) at least in the beginning, Skinning got the slow and stable drop as always (and the hides almost never come, sad as ever).
I think changing these into a more friendly sistem would be great for the server... well, that's just a player suggestion.

Thanks for Reading

Ironic that just this morning i was leveling an alt for mining and on the hunt for Adamantite, I come across 4 Khorium in Nagrand itself. Granted the pinpoints of wowhead are not right on the money, but as usual, i just find myself flying up and down the map looking at the "find minerals".

Well, I`ve finally lvled Blacksmithing and my character enough so I`m in need of Titanium Ores... and there are almost no Titanium Veins. Is this made on purpose or what? Because seriously, it isn't fun.

There are titanium veins around trust me you just need to know where to to look for them. They are rarer now than before because the rate that they spawn was decreased.
